We support people wearing hearing aids to transfer from the paediatric service to the adult audiology service. People usually move to the adult service at around 18 years of age, depending on their needs.
Before leaving the paediatrict audiology service, we will invite you to attend a final appointment with the consultant or audiologist. During the appointment we will carry out a final reivew of your hearing aid and give you information about what support you can expect from the adult service. We can also arrange an introductory visit to the adult service for you.
